Trends may come and go, but denim will always be an essential part of my wardrobe. The one style I can never get rid of is skinny jeans. There are just a million ways to style a nice pair of skinnies in ways that aren’t boring. And with spring in full swing, now is a good time to invest in a great pair that you can wear all season long. After weeks of searching, I finally discovered my new obsession- SAGJOL.
SAGJOL (acronym for “Sewing Acceptance Globally, Justifying Our Love”) is a really amazing brand with a beautiful backstory. The jeans were created by artist, designer, and single mother, Sarah Drury-Marchand, in spirit of the slogan, “live without judgment, love without boundaries.” Its production takes place in LA and uses sustainable and recycled materials, which I admire and respect. I love how the brand is built on a foundation of consciousness, sustainability, and mindfulness but also quality.
Not only do SAGJOL jeans fit a glove, but they are incredibly soft with beautiful details like their logo. This unique symbol is a direct outline of a painting called, “See from your Heart,” and translates into how we should live without fear, judgement, and hate – and learn to “see from our hearts.” It’s such a powerful message that SAGJOL even embossed it onto the jean’s button and front pocket to remind us to be present in everything.
Here are some of my favorite ways to wear my new favorite pair of jeans:
With an Oversized Button Down
One of my favorite looks for brisk autumnal or springtime weather is a simple button-down top and skinny jeans. SAGJOL has a great pair of high waisted skinnies called “Jessie”, which I’m featuring in today’s outfit. The dark blue rinse looks so elevated and would be great for casual Fridays at the office, but can also be dressed down. With earthy tones being all the rage, I styled mine with a mustard-colored silk blouse and pumps. I love this look because it can be made casual or formal depending on the way you accessorize!
With a Cami & Blazer
Another outfit formula I am often seen sporting is a lace or silk cami with skinny jeans. There’s something about the mix of delicate, feminine fabrics, like silk and lace, paired with dark denim that feels timeless and chic. I’ll often finish off the look with a blazer and ankle strap heels if I’m headed to quick meeting or a night out.
With a Basic Tee & Casual Jacket
Luckily, SAGJOL doesn’t just have jeans – they have jackets and tees too! Jeans and a tee is a perfect weekend or everyday casual ensemble. All it needs is the right jacket to feel complete. I love denim and bomber jackets for spring style. Their “Trucker” jacket is a classic, mid-wash denim jacket and looks great against black or dark rinse jeans.
Special thanks to SAGJOL for partnering with me on this post.
