I always get so excited for the fall season because I get to bring out boots, one of my absolute favorite pieces to wear. I love pulling them over skinny jeans as much as I love wearing them with dresses. And this season is full of the best trends and styles to add to your wardrobe. Whether you’re looking for something new to add to your wardrobe or simply want to replace last year’s styles, I can’t think of a better time to shop. Ahead, I put together a comprehensive list of the best boots to buy for Fall 2019.
Over The Knee Boots
Although seemingly trendy, over the knee boots have become a mainstay in my wardrobe through the years. I love how they can basically replace pants when it’s too cold for bare legs and that you can also pair them with tights. Both leather and suede styles are great ways to add texture to your outfit and break up a tonal look.
Knee High Boots
Knee high boots are probably the trendiest of the bunch this season, especially when you go with croc-embossed styles (love these) or snakeskin style boots. Both trends have a way of upgrading a look so that it’s seems more expensive. I’ve featured knee-high boots countless times on Instagram lately and love the edgy, equestrian feel. These boots always look so sleek with any outfit.
The scrunched shaft of slouchy boots add a relaxed vibe to more structured looks, which I love. You can find these boots in both knee-high and mid-calf lengths. I’m often pairing mine with dark skinny jeans or leather pants and a menswear-inspired coat. However, they also look super chic with fitted mini skirts or midi dresses – the volume they add is so on point!
Ankle boots are a must-have all through fall and winter. They’re so easy to throw on with denim and get out the doors quickly. This is the best time to trade your standard black boots for something more trend-forward, such as leopard print, snakeskin, or even cowboy-inspired boots. If you’re already ahead of the game, perhaps you can try something trendier such as square-toe boots – it’s the fastest rising boot silhouette in the fashion world!
Finally, the last boot style I can’t get over are combat boots. The tough-girl aesthetic is a great way to contrast more feminine and simple outfits. Plus, the lug sole is beyond practical for rainy or slushy weather. There are so many stunning yet affordable styles this season!
